MMC and MTAS - part 5

Someone on the inside of MTAS has kindly sent me an internal memo with the list of "standard" replies to questions that candidates, successful or unsuccessful, may ask.

I thought it might save the candidates and MTAS a lot of time if I printed them out for you.

All questions bar two seem to have been answered. I am sure Denis and Jenny will deal with those outstanding questions in the very near future, though poor old Jenny seems to have drawn the short straw. And "we are awaiting input from Alison"

The whole document is long and so I cannot post it on the front page. If you need to discuss any of the issues listed below, or make a complaint or ask any of the questions also listed below the answers and more, much more, are available here.

Lines to take

[DN: waiting input from Alison]. Everybody involved in assessment received training to ensure that there was a consistent approach across the country. This guidance included advice on what to do if there was a number of people in receipt of the same score. This advised that…..

Complaints Process following selection into specialty training

Principles of the Complaints Process

How do I get feedback about why I wasn’t shortlisted?

I’ve been invited to book an interview in the wrong specialty/level, what should I do?

I’ve been invited to clashing interviews, what should I do?

How do I find out my MTAS reference number and how do I know that I’ve booked an interview?

Denis – please can you formulate a response to this.

Complaints
Jenny – please enter the line on how/where/when applicants can complain and/or appeal.
