This made me very happy...

"There has been a disturbing rise of ill informed comment masquerading as serious Journalism on what has become known as the “blogosphere” in recent months. These Blogtitioner lead “walk in centres” for news and current affairs are springing up all over the place and are a symptom of this Governments obsession with dumbing down and saving money. First it was our schools, then it was our health service and now it is our newspapers.

Perhaps the most famous, some would say infamous, Blogtitioner of them all is the renowned Dr Crippen who regularly posts his uninformed raving on NHS Blog Doctor .Dr Crippen, a practising GP, took to the internet and regularly gives his readers his views on everything from the health service to the role of the judiciary. Has he no shame? Does he not realise how irresponsible his actions are? Does he not realise that if he does not know what he does not know and that if he doesn’t know this then he won’t know when he doesn’t know that he doesn’t know what he is talking about. And what if he goes “off piste”? Some of those slopes in Chamonix can be very dangerous you know, especially if you are pissed which lets face it with what the average GP is on these days is more than likely

No, Dr Crippen must realise that he is not a professional journalist, he has not spent 4 years at the University of lets make it up as we go along studying Media Studies so it is time he left journalism to the professionals. Peter Hitchins writing in today’s Daily Mail comments
“ ………..it’s a fucking disgrace, how dare he! Has Dr Crippen worked his way up through a series of crappy local and regional papers? No. Has he eaten soggy chips at 2 am outside the princess of Wales Kensington apartment while she is inside with Dody enjoying champagne and canapés? No. Has Dr Crippen ever been arrested for rummaging through a celebs rubbish? No. Is he a raving lunatic who is currently receiving treatment…………
Already the middle classes, who can afford to, are paying for sky news while the rest of the public have to rely on talented amateurs such as the good Dr Crippen for their current affairs and gossip.

It has to stop!!"

++++++++++

Excellent. And plenty more of this here.

There is no Daily Mail article, just a bit of random snarkasm from one of my fellow bloggers over at Mental Nurse.

All meant affectionately, I'm sure...
